Guido's Scandinavian adventure took him through Denmark, Sweden and Finland on his racing bike. From Flensburg via the islands of Funen, Langeland, Lolland, Falster and Zealand to Copenhagen and Malmö. From there, the route went along the Baltic coast through the provinces of Skåne, Blekinge, Kalmar, Östergötland, Södermanland, Stockholöm, Uppsala, Gävleborg, Västernorrland, to Umeå in the north of Sweden. After the crossing to Vaasa in Finland, he drove along the Gulf of Bothnia to Kristinestad, Pori, Rauma to Turku and on to his destination in Helsinki. 

He experienced people living peacefully together in harmony with nature and where he was always welcome. He saw the vast fields, the archipelago landscapes and wild forests. The small and large towns offered plenty of culture and ideal accommodation, from hostels to secluded cabins. Bays, rivers and hills offered the most photo opportunities, as did the capital cities, of course. Riding fast with light luggage, he managed an average of 120 km per day and experienced a good balance between sporting challenge and adventure, getting to know the country and its people.
